RIP

Andromeda the little girl

Sometimes not all the puppies make it, sadly this was the story with Andromeda. She never fed properly from Penny in the first day and became weak so we began feeding her by formula, every 2 hours day and night. Sadly on Wednesday she began to struggle to breath, she had not managed to put on any weight and was clearly not going to make it. Sometimes puppies are born with a defect that means they arnt meant to live. We called for the emergency vet but he never made it and she went to sleep and died. Before we wrapped her for burial i placed her little body in with penny so she could understand what had happened to her little girl. She licked and sniffed her and placed her chin on her and made a cry for me to help but i just spoke to her and she knew that i would take her away for good. After a while i removed Andromeda and wrapped her in paper, We buried her today.

This leaves Penny to take care of her 6 boys, she seemd a bit upset and for a day, she ripped up her bed chewed her wooden box and destroyed other things in the room, she was probably looking for her puppy, after that she was fine and never stopped looking after her remaining puppies. She is amazing.
